My Creative Life

My work as an art therapist is intimately connected to my own creative and embodied practice.

My work as an art therapist is intimately connected to my own creative and embodied practice. Art and the creative process has always been a guiding force in my life, a way of accessing my inner world and leaning into something greater than myself. Creativity is an infinite wellspring of life force that is born out of the creative unconscious, accessing this flow is essential to my daily life and my work. This process allows daily access to the archetypal world giving deeper meaning and vitality, learning to walk in the fire of the creative process while not becoming flooded with unconscious contents, and allowing the flow to emerge and be integrated through embodied practices in a contained environment is the core of how I live and work.

In my early twenties, I began exploring the work of Carl Jung and later entered a Jungian analysis that continued over several years. During that time, I discovered the work of Marion Woodman, whose work deeply resonated with me.

In 2008, I attended a BodySoul intensive with Marion in Einsiedeln, an experience which lit a burning inner fire. The integration of Jungian psychology with the body, art, mask, voice and dance felt like a coming home - it brought together everything I loved in one place. That encounter led me to pursue a master’s degree in art therapy, and I have since continued with further Jungian studies in Zurich.

My work is about learning to harness the state of flow in the creative unconscious and bring it into being in a safe therapeutic environment. Jungs work has taught me how to access the creative unconscious and apply it to my daily life thus bringing with it the infinite potential for new life.

Each day, whether it be engaging in artmaking, yoga, authentic movement, dance or voice work—not as performance, but as a way of listening deeply to the body and soul. These practices help me stay connected and grounded in the rhythms of the deep feminine: cyclical, intuitive, and life-giving.

Creativity is a way to come home to ourselves. For many, this connection has been lost or buried beneath layers of expectation, perfectionism, or self-doubt. My own journey has taught me the power of reclaiming creative expression not just as a tool for healing, but as a source of vitality, joy, and inner authority.

By staying close to my own process, I can accompany others with presence and authenticity. My hope is to support others in rediscovering their own inner authentic voice, trusting the wisdom of their bodies, and stepping into a more whole, embodied sense of self whilst exploring their own unlived creative potential.
